The Annual Global Trader Inter Club Golf Day!!!
One of the highlights of the Global Trader Drak Challenge is the annual Interclub Golf Day, played at the nine-hole Underberg Country Club.

The emphasis is strictly on fun, and non-handicap players and total novices are warmly encouraged, and club-sharing is condoned.

Club orientated dress code is also strongly encouraged and often rewarded at the prize giving if there is a fourball snappily dressed in co-ordinated club kit.

The first tee off time is at 2:00pm on Saturday 22 January, and the later tee-off slots run the usual gauntlet with the traditional Berg summer afternoon thunderstorms.

Final rules will be provided with your scorecard, but they usually include the Hansa Mulligan option at the par threes. Simple, if you duff your tee shot, you can down a Hansa and reload!

At the sharp end of the field there is some rivalry, aggravated by an unexplained trend for Gauteng teams to burgle the first prize for the last few years. Perhaps it is not coincidental that the organiser of the golf day is also the captain of the winning team of the last few years.

The overall winner will be presented with "The Beast" (right) - a trophy donated by Mark Perrow from a race he won in Spain decades ago
