A simple three foot high weir shortly after the Swartberg road bridge, it can be shot by everyone with confidence. The best line is straight over, about a metre from the left hand bank. In low conditions it is best shot nearer the centre, a metre from the left hand central pillar, at an angle to the right, which takes you into a stretch of the rapid below that is less rocky in shallow water
