Tripping
To assist with your preparations for the Global Trader Drak Challenge, we will be hosting a series of trips under the supervision of very experienced paddlers who know the river well.

These trips are aimed at first timers and novices, and will be done at a slow pace, stopping before each rapid to explain lines and subtleties.

Each trip will be less than 10km in length and each weekend we will cover three key sections:
- The Valley of a Thousand rapids (Castleburn to Ekhutuleni)
- The Underberg Gorge (Scotstons bridge to Callaway/1st Coleford Road bridge)
- The Lower Gorge (Dunraven bridge to Hopewell Farm)

Please arrive with your full paddling equipment - splashcovers, lifejackets, hats/helmets. Vehicles may be left at the start of each trip, and the available drivers will meet the paddlers at the finish and ferry them back to the start to collect their vehicles.

If you want to stay overnight, Gavin Tarr has offered free camping at his farm, which is midway down the second day of the race, close to Greenend bridge. Call Gavin on 082 494 6099.
