Rock Slalom

This is a long tricky rapid that turns to the left, and, quite normally, the strongest flow of the water is around the outside of the rapid. But this is where a number of big rocks lie in wait, right in the main flow.

The trick is to look to stay inside the corner, and find the brilliant clean line that runs down the left of this rapid

Pro Tip

In a K1 it is possible (in this video for example), to sneak into the rapid on the left, well away from the main flow, and stay left all the way down. In a K2 you may well have to enter left of centre and once you get near the first rocky outcrop start looking for all options to the left until you are into the super-clean line all the way down.
