Full Stop
100 metres after the Big Dipper you head left into a rapid that is markedly different at differing water levels. This shot is at a full level, which is probably the easiest level to shoot it at! The line at this level is centre to left. The big rock that gives this rapid its name is right at the bottom, and the main flow of the river points you right at it. Look for it right from the top of the rapid and decide early on whether you are going left or right of it, and paddle positively to effect that. In this video the paddlers sneak just left of Full Stop rock, which is basically under water.
Pro Tip
At a medium to low level there is a more elegant line down the right. You will need to pick your way carefully between the rocks on the right, angling to the centre, then straighten up. This sets you up for a very easy line to the right of Full Stop rock
